Building new PC

Hello everyone, this is my first time building a PC. Being a total novice at it, I would like to request help from you guys.

Budget is around $2k - $2.2k, including a monitor if possible. No need for a mouse and keyboard. However I do need Wifi for this build.

The build is mainly for gaming. Overwatch, CSGO, and some AAA Games.

If possible, would like this build to be future proof, lasting a minimum of 5 years.

Look forward to hearing some suggestion from you guys.

Do point out if I missed out some important information.

CPU + MOBO: i5 - 8600k + MSI Z370 Gaming Plus $576
Casing: Phanteks p300 $99
PSU: EVGA GD 550W $109 (Is this enough for my build?)
SSD: 250GB 850 or 950?
HDD: 1TB is enough
GPU: 1070 or 1080?
Wifi: Not sure what to get.
OS: Windows 10 via carousell $10-$20
Monitor: What refresh rate would be more suitable?

Would be a better idea to up your power supply to 750w.
will you be doing overclocking?

As for SSD, what is the difference between 960 and 850?

Instead of i7-8700, would i5-8400 be enough?
Is it worth to change the 1070 to a 1080?
For the Wifi, would there be a difference if I switched to a USB wifi?

Pure gaming the i5 8400 is enough. If you are doing stuff other then gaming, consider the i7 8700.

For 1080p 144hz gaming, 1070 is enough. If you are getting 1440p >60hz, 1080 is the best.

i nv like wifi usb sticking out of my casing hence i put inside my case and much faster too though usb also has similar speeds. if you are using it for pure gaming not much rendering or photoshop all those then i5 is mostly sufficient.

if im not wrong, phanteks p300 comes with a fan, why i do still need to buy 3 more fans?

960 is the latest model and also it supports nvme. which means is much faster than normal sata ssd.

970 (replace 960 evo) and 980 (replace 960 pro) is supposed to be out soon so no point considering 960 ATM.
