Is it a safe/smart idea to do this?

I've been looking for a gaming laptop for uni and I've been looking at this.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ASUS-ROG-ST...25bc6c4c16:m:m4LG6sPWEqxvxBcVRffxfrQ#shpCntId

Even with the cost of the shipping it looks way cheaper than even IT fair prices IIRC...

Have you guys ever bought laptops off bestbuy or Amazon through services like ezbuy? Safe or not?

If not, where do you guys usually buy laptops from? Simlim?

Buy from overseas means heng suay one. Treat as no warranty. But if the lower price is the biggest factor for you, then go ahead. I bought a china tablet from taobao. Heng still working after 1 year.

But if buying from local, no need to go simlim or IT show. Go Harvey Norman or challenger also can

Read the reviews, return policy and if the shipping has reliable tracking. I don't buy stuff off amazon because the shipping costs are usually overpriced unless your cart qualifies for free shipping. eBay isn't too bad though slightly less safe than Amazon.

Judging by this guy's seller feedback, it seems to be okay. If warranty's important to you, make sure you check how the warranty policy works
