Anyone has experience buying laptops from Amazon / eBay? Specifically Dell. How will the warranty / support work out?

i've bought many laptops off ebay, generally prices are $300 - $500 cheaper than in sg
never had to bring any laptop in for warranty repair, so i won't know about that
but there are manufacturer refurbished products off ebay that are simply dirt cheap

a refurbished dell xps 13 highest end spec can be found for 1.9k off ebay, shipping and taxes included. the same model in courts goes for around 3k

(Not sure if this is useful) I bought my laptop direct from Dell.com when they still accepted bitcoin, then there was this form to transfer warranty from US to Singapore. Turned out it was actually legit when my laptop battery had to be replaced a few months later, contacted Dell Singapore and they said I did indeed have an existing warranty with the laptop.

Saw a 2016 dell XPS 13, fully speced out,16gb ram+ 512gb ssd, selling for USD $900+.

Does anyone know what is the best way to ship two laptops from ebay to Singapore?

I have previously used ezbuy and comgateway.

Ezbuy: The shipping costs from China to Singapore was the same as the purchase price of the study chair. So it was kind of a traumatic experience.

Comgateway: Bought a pack of 6 of vitafiber (some artificial sweetener to make protein bars). Item was 4kg and was not repacked. The shipping costs was over 100 USD for a 400 USD item.

Bought refurbished Dell XPS 13 few years ago. Body has a small dent, but saved about $700, so was well worth it. Battery was never good though, not sure if it was due to getting a refurbished set or from my use.

All in all, good experience.

Dell also has their own outlet online store, which sometimes have better offers than on eBay. This will require a forwarding service though.

Not bad for a 7th Gen i3. Non-IPS display but it's 1080p so should suffice. Can consider upgrading the RAM and swapping the HDD for a SSD and it's a speedy laptop but note that there will be a 7% GST since it's > $400 SGD.

Yeah, about $1100 for 2, inclusive of tax.

So 550SGD for 1, is consider reasonable? Mainly for work purposes, doing a start-up so need to get staff something useable. :s13:

Just not sure about warranty because Acer no international, except the positive side is this is a purchase direct from Amazon.

Dell seems to be better, cause I think can transfer warranty to Singapore, but don't seem to have much options in Amazon, compared to Dell USA website but can't ship direct.

Was comparing between that and this - https://www.amazon.com/Dell-LED-bac...TF8&qid=1520232595&sr=1-17&keywords=dell&th=1
