Why not just buy one at Changi Airport? There really isn’t much of a difference in the base prices.

Absolutely correct or just use an adapter to convert 2-pin to UK pin.

Actually most smart devices are compatible with the two different voltages. Unless you are buying a kettle (I have difficulties finding one more than 600ml that is compatible the 2 voltages), you should not have a problem.
