buying a Mac mini in Japan , can I use it here if I were to change the plug to a 3pin plug?

shud be yes, check that voltage is 100-240 in e specs.

Thanks. Just checked that Jpn MAC mini is the same voltage as our. Going to Buy there since cheaper by $2xx

How did you get that figure of the Mac Mini being cheaper in Japan?

The base model (3.6Ghz Quad-core) is at ¥89,800 which is around SGD1,130 at current exchange rate. SG price is SGD1,179 with GST.

The model with 3Ghz Six-core is at ¥122,800 which is around SGD1,545. SG price is SGD1,619 with GST.

If you buy the Mac Mini at Changi Airport instead, you’ll only have to pay SGD1,101 for the Quad-core model and SGD1,513 for the Six-core model.

I think buying from yodobashi or bic, gets u additional 5% discount .... not sure if still available
