Hi bro,I was checking out BYD Seal and realised that there are 3 authorized dealers.
Does anyone has any idea which one is better to go with? Or there's no difference.
Vantage is by Sime Motors. Their website says they are the only authorised distributor for BYD passenger vehicles in Singapore. Then what does that means for Motoreast and 1826 ah?I think it's Vantage, my sis got her Atto3 delivered there with a big ribbon. Car plate holder also put Vantage (Leng Kee).
Went to the one at Suntec to see the Sealion7, they never put any 'name' there, just BYD, say need test drive can arrange.
Saw one holder with motor east just now, I don't have idea on this part actually.Vantage is by Sime Motors. Their website says they are the only authorised distributor for BYD passenger vehicles in Singapore. Then what does that means for Motoreast and 1826 ah?
After being in 2 accidents, I am quite concerned about spare parts availability and how quick is the turnaround for repairs.
Issue is, I thought EV is maintenance free, no oil change etc... I don't know why still need servicing per se... but I guess to put people's mind at ease?Vantage is distributor aka AD. The rest are dealer. Warranty all go back to vantage. Example if u have HV battery issue, only vantage can fix for u.
Parts availability depends on parts. Some quite long, take mths. This is what i saw from byd groups. Take note their servicing appt and time is very long. Book one appt can be 1 mth later. Do a regular servicing may takes 1 full day.

I usually book 1-2 months earlier for my appointments on servicing, so not an issue for me, but still... nevermind. This is something I can't figure out.
Hi bro,
Have you bought any BYD car yet?
Can share which dealer did you buy from if you bought.
Seem Motoreast do their own BYD maintenance servicing at their Defu workshop.
Read HWZ Forum Rules!
Yup, except for 1826 which has its own restaurant instead of workshop ;-)Seems like each dealer now have their own workshop. Motoreast at defu. Harmony at Ubi. Vantage at Leng Kee.
Lol!Yup, except for 1826 which has its own restaurant instead of workshop ;-)
Honestly, not bad eat and quite filling for the price.Yup, except for 1826 which has its own restaurant instead of workshop ;-)
There is no Oil Change for EV but EV still use Coolant and Brake Fluid which I think need to be replaced periodically maybe not as often as ICE cars.Issue is, I thought EV is maintenance free, no oil change etc... Currently I see them put as 6 months for servicing. Not sure if it's just a way to make $ since servicing and parts are going down with EV.There is no Oil Change for EV but EV still use Coolant and Brake Fluid which I think need to be replaced periodically maybe not as often as ICE cars.
think just money making... 10 years free servicing but each time come in upsell something....Currently I see them put as 6 months for servicing. Not sure if it's just a way to make $ since servicing and parts are going down with EV.
Yeah, TEK was selling their MX-30 EV, every 6 months need to go service with them. I think this is just to sustain their market share and also make some bucks for keeping the car for a few hours 'working' on them.think just money making... 10 years free servicing but each time come in upsell something....
Tesla was telling me that upon car delivery... next service in 2 years' time???
I sat in the waiting area, while this Nippon lady walked around to every car owner, trying to sell their coating, she skipped me and went to talk to the next one beside me.I think more like making money. Upsell u or tell u need to change this wear and tear etc.Issue is, I thought EV is maintenance free, no oil change etc...
