I will not. Replacement could be very high. Owners have to avoid accidents............ 🥴🥴 Cheap for a reason. Ultra- low down payment for a reason. That carries and uncertainty later.

Owners should not treat BYD as long term car ownership, as compare ICE or Hybrid?

Don't wanna give clicks to someone who's not even qualified to talk about cars. Just because he has his 2cents doesn't mean he's right.

He's a used car dealer, "car consultant" and YouTuber so he's incentivised to make certain content in a certain way.
The ragebaiting title already gives some of that agenda away, the problems he called out are applicable for all EVs but calling out the most popular brand obviously drives more clicks.

Same for those EV preachers that push the narrative that EVs > ICE in every possible way

People just need to exercise their own critical thinking to make their own purchase decisions.

Hes not a real dealer la. Just masquerading as one. Hes too opinionated to be taken seriously. Meanwhile, not trying to insinuating anything, but my ama car thread was probably 100x more informative than his channel and videos combined.
He makes a video about his car then try to sell his car, say simi stay rv condo like v rich, disgusting.

Agree that your thread is super informative!

But repair costs for EV cars that are not covered by insurance is really no joke.
Know of someone who's wires got chewed up by rats, the costs of replacing the wires is ~10k.
Any slight accidents, as long as kena the sensors, will be easily 5k onwards.

Idk what he mentioned but **** happens everyday, to anyone at any moment..
EV will have their upsides and downside. You just have to take the rough with the smooth.
Qualitatively, there's leaps and bounds on what chinese EV makers have done to improve cars, its undeniable. But with any tech, ervything comes with a cost.
Question is at what cost, can you quanitifiably measure them? Humans like measured stuffs, and with no historical referencing to evs, theres unknowns that some fear mongers will harp on but hey that's life and the same with much of other life changing tech and inventions.

Think the illusion of cheaper cost for EV could be deceiving. Especially with local tax structure, insurance and coe. Maybe should watch the below and do own calcuations to see how much saving there really is.

Think perhaps the impending big changes to the ownership system is also in light of the EV impact. Could level the playing field even further.
