Canon G12

Hi all

I had tried tutorial on this video :

I have setting Canon G12 with shutter speed 1/500
aperture F2.8 and ISO 3200.

But why the LCD screen became darker ? When I take picture, the picture also darker. Only this setting the screen has darker, when choosing other setting like Auto, Scene Mode etc the screen is bright.

Does it mean the camera has error ?

Shutter speed is too fast, that's why you are getting dark images.
Your sensor doesn't have enough time to capture light. Captured shot is dark, that's why your LCD also dark...

Check the EXIF info for your shots done in Auto / Scene modes. The shutter speed should be much slower (or higher ISO).

I had choosing setting same as tutorial video in here :

The only different is I used F2.8. I also taken photo in room has bright light. The camera on the video has bright screen but why mine has darker.

Tha strange is when I have take photo near windows where the light came from outside, the screen is brighter.

"Bright light" does not mean good light.

Following the video doesn't mean you get the same quality / brightness.
In lighting, there's quality of light, and there's color temperature.

In your room, your color temperature is different from the sunlight coming in from the window.

Read up more on light, don't just follow videos blindly.
