Cant overclock my ram

I bought gskill non rgb 3000mhz ram
Max it can go is 2933mhz on bios

When i tried 3200, pc wont turn on, need to clear cmos

Is this normal? Cant even overclock a little bit? :o

Tighten the timings, pump up the voltage etc by yourself. The memory profiles just work like that out of the box. If you want better performance, oc yourself.
