It is quite depressing watching those folks living in squalid condition and cage-like homes and reflects the inability of its govt to provide its citizens with decent public housing like our HDB

It's a good food-for-thought that this could be our future decades down the road, where the total population moves 10million and beyond, housing prices gets inflated beyond reasonable means and a 30sqft size or below living space is what a normal working class could afford comfortably.

Strange how you bring the poor person to restaurant, the restaurant is so big in terms of space.

This should be illegal.

The UN should step in to do something. China should step in to do something.

HK is very crowded. And their houses and flats are super expensive. I don't think any government wiould be able to provide good lodgings for the super poors.

The root cause is the property tycoons control vast amount of land bank in HK and unlike SG govt owns which state land acquired from private owners like pig farms etc
HK govt did acquire private golf course land to develop housing but they would not dare acquire land owned by powerful private developers.
