Anyone can advise how does car rental work in JB? Submit IC and rent from any car rental coy, sign some insurance indemnities and that it?

Other then docs. To avoid being a "carrot head" or being cheated later. Take pics on all exterior of the rental car. Check and document even the smallest scratches.
Check the windscreen too.
