I am currently looking to change my Fractal Define R5 stock fans to something better and would like to get recommendations on what to change to. My case has 2 x 140mm slots for front intake and 1 x 140mm slot for back exhaust.

I am using the top slot for my AIO which I know isnt the ideal location but the front of my casing as the hdd craddle for my 2 3.5" HDD. Thus looking for better fans to improve the airflow inside.

Currently the stock fans that came with my casing are Dynamic GP-14: http://www.fractal-design.com/home/product/casefans/dynamic-series/dynamic-gp-14

For front intake I read that static pressure is important as the fans are behind a mesh and I have found these fans that I can get locally:

  • CORSAIR ML140 PRO
  • CORSAIR SP 140mm
  • Noctua NF-P14S Redux
  • Noctua NF-A14 IPPC 2000
  • CoolerMaster MasterFan Pro 140 Air Pressure

There are also these fans which I read are good but not sure if available locally so most prob have to bring in from overseas:

  • EK-Vardar EVO 140ER
  • Be Quiet Silent Wings 3 High Speed

For the exhaust back fan, I assume anything with high airflow would work?

Also open to other fans not listed here and thanks in advance for helping this fan newbie :o

Gentle Typhoon AP-15 PWM from taobao. Undisputed king for static pressure and low noise level. About $25/pc before shipping.

120mm though, am looking at 140mm :o

Gentle Typhoon dun have 140mm option. Also, almost all brands except Noctua dun have good 140mm fans. The advertised rest are either too loud or doesnt push much air.

Get the redux version. Same as the normal one just that it is in Grey. The color more netrual and easier to fit in case.

You might want to check out CRYORIG fans. Build is solid, has decent RPM/pressure at pretty decent prices.
