I personally own this case and I think it's a great case tbh.
Also I don't really see big price drops in cases at all. Mid towers from branded companies always sit at 150-200 and the full towers goes for 300+.
I don't see how the prices will drop even as it gets older.
I bought mine in 2018 june, for $162 on lazada.

Just got myself a fractal design define R6 blackout. Absolutely love it. Especially the option to modify it to an open layout - looks much better and better airflow. 3.5" HHD hidden behind the case as well out of sight. Looks very neat.

FD R6 looks bulky ...
decided to go with FD mystify C or Phanteks P400
am still using 'OG' Phanteks 300 ... the one with side plastic window.
Still a good case thou ... been using this since my first build with intel z87 ...
