Usually when they pee on these places means they unhappy, sick or litterbox not clean. In my case my cat pee on the floor by the door cos the litterbox too smelly after 3 weeks never change. Another one pee on sofa cos he buay song with us cos we go holiday 3 weeks never sayang sayang him. Haha...

Try shopping for cat repellent sprays.

Also depends on the cat species, imo.

I have a ragdoll and shorthair. They were well trained. Didn't pee and spray all over.

I let them out often into the garden.

Cats kept in HDB without walk or outside exposure may get depressed.

Cats are really not indoor animals, imo.
