I'm in eee, given the opportunity to switch course. Applied for cee because I feel that among the engineering courses given, cee suits me better in term of its curriculum and also I have greater interest in it. But being the typical singaporean, I looked through cee and eee's job scope and salary etc. Seems like eee is of greater demand. So really dk if I should accept the offer not. Any advice? thanks!

Median gross difference between the two is only $100 according to the graduate employment survey. So not much diff. Honestly, I think EEE is much harder than CEE. And you will suffer if you have no interest. If you have interest in CEE than you will likely score better and get a better class than if you stayed in EEE and have no interest. So just switch. And CEE has slightly better employment rates than EEE.

But that said, EEE grads can earn much more if you score FCH that kind. I hear DSTA paying big bucks for FCH EEE grads. But if you not confident in scoring FCH then its better to play it safe and just switch to CEE.

in terms of industries and the variety of jobs, there will be more opportunities for EEE grads. but it may also depend on which specialisation you take during the final year.

that being said, i definitely think that you should go with your interest because ultimately it is what is going to help you get through the tough times/mods. and most likely you will be looking for a job which you have interest in also.
