IMHO.IIRC.Someone should invent vacuum luggage. No oxygen no fire.
Lithium powerbank burning can provide it's own "oxygen".

Time to make sure all phones people bring onto planes are 'CCC' rated?
This is China international flights lah, 'CCC' not enforced!CCC mark fail
Root problem goes down to the factory that produce the power bank. Got to fix that If not it will just happen againSo did they identify who is the sabo kia?
A power bank caught fire mid-air on a flight from Hangzhou to Seoul, creating a panic among passengers and filling the cabin with smoke. The incident happened aboard a Air China flight flying at an altitude of around 10 kilometres.

CCC not required for international flights.I thought China alr mandated CCC certified power banks. how come will still have problems.
Unless some kkbs leave something charging, in the overhead compartment???
Wouldn't it be more dangerous if an idiot passenger check-in the powerbank while charging a phone inside luggage at the same time?Time to mandate no powerbanks and handphones in planes' overhead compartments!

A power bank caught fire mid-air on a flight from Hangzhou to Seoul, creating a panic among passengers and filling the cabin with smoke. The incident happened aboard a Air China flight flying at an altitude of around 10 kilometres.
The fire is believed to have started in an overhead luggage compartment, where the device was stored. As smoke began to spread, flight attendants quickly rushed to the scene, grabbing fire extinguishers and working together to put out the flames.
The pilots immediately contacted air traffic control and requested an emergency landing at Shanghai Pudong Airport, but the crew managed to bring the situation under control before the aircraft touched down. All passengers and crew were reported safe.
A video of the incident has since gone viral online, showing flames suddenly bursting from an overhead compartment inside the aircraft. The clip captures moments of chaos as smoke fills the cabin, with startled passengers seen backing away in panic while crew members rush to control the fire.
In a statement on social media, Air China confirmed the incident.
“On October 18, on flight CA139 from Hangzhou to Incheon, a lithium battery in a passenger’s carry-on luggage stored in the overhead compartment spontaneously ignited,” the airline said.

this one is international flight, ccc cert not applicable.I thought China alr mandated CCC certified power banks. how come will still have problems.

What I mean is to mandate no powerbanks and handphones in planes' overhead compartments, and this is on top of current regulation where no devices with batteries etc (including powerbanks) are allowed to be in luggages checked in.Wouldn't it be more dangerous if an idiot passenger check-in the powerbank while charging a phone inside luggage at the same time?
