Is Zotac GTX 1060 3GB mini the cheapest 1060? And should I get it at Lazada or from SLS? My only requirement is to play Resident Evil 7 at max settings @1080.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

RECOMMENDED:
OS: WINDOWS® 7, 8, 8.1, 10 (64-BIT Required)
Processor: Intel® Core™ i7 3770 3.4GHz or AMD equivalent or better
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1060 with 3GB VRAM
DirectX: Version 11
Storage: 24 GB available space
Sound Card: DirectSound compatible (must support DirectX® 9.0c or higher)
Additional Notes: Hardware specification target 1080P/60FPS. *Internet connection required for game activation. The game is still undergoing development, so all PC requirements are subject to change.

suggest u get 6gb ver or rx480 8gb, if budget permit.

tl;dr,
more vram yields better fps, re7 is vram hungry. At some point 7gb vram are used.....
rx480 is considerably faster for re7@1080p (+20ishfps more)

Suggest you wait for qoo10 voucher. I bought 1060 3gb for $240. Zotac cards have 5 year warranty, so if it dies after EOL, you may be upgraded to the latest version

Thanks for the info, now I'm considering rx480 8gb instead lol. But it's more expensive than 1060 3GB right?

ya its more expensive.

I briefly browsed lazada,
the 6gb 1060 and rx 480 8gb seem like almost same price.

From the reviews, the game is very VRAM hungry and the RX 480 seems to be doing better than a GTX 1060, though by a narrow margin.

Yeah more expensive, what's your budget? If you wait for the right coupon on qoo10, maybe can get it down to low 300?

Yea man, my Budget is like what u said, low 300. I mean there is no point to invest in such good graphic card just for a game(for now). Now I'm playing the game in mid setting using gtx 750ti. Frame rate varies from 40-60 depending on the size of the map I'm in.

The performance lead can vary from ~10 to 20% scene dependent. 4GB VRAM or lower, expect textures to pop with stutter and frame variance. Have to turn off shadow cache to workaround VRAM limitation.

Otherwise the 1060 6GB and 480 8GB are the same price on Lazada.
Hmm, this really make me wanna go for the 8gb version lol. Really want to enjoy this game as max settings lol

No really pt going for high vram with low budget . Most games still give good frames at low vrams and developers will always cater to consumers who own less powerful gpu cards .
Might as well get 1070 instead of vram upgrade , better price to performance ratio.

Dual fan 1060/480 6/8GB are 340+ after discount on lazada.

1070 is 480+ with the right coupons I guess?
