Chinese sir name should be First Name or Last Name?

Those forms that got First/Last name, you always put your surname as First or Last?
Chinese by right family name is first name mah. If follow AMDK convention, my name Liu Dehua become Dehua Liu, very stupid leh.

first and last doesn't mean the position of your name lei.

last name has always been the family name aka surname

Meiling would be 1 word. If you write them separately, it will be read as,

First name: Mei
Middle name: Ling
Last name: Liu

Middle name would not be used. So your name becomes Mei Liu

previously, i will put first name as surname... but i just follow this format and it still works.
