Clarifications on derailing

Need your help to explain the following:

1. How and why our post is considered derailing when we are discussing the topic in our response and clarifying our position and addressing falsehoods and misinformation / disinformation by a user?

2. Why the user Mikedinrt78 whom has in fact derailed way before our response by not discussing the top but instead made various allegations and mis-characterisations to cast aspersions against us is not censured instead?

3. The aforementioned user has derailed by continuing to engage in mudsligning and making unsubstantiated allegations in several instances:

1. Thanks for pasting your post, its quite apparent self explanatory why its derailing when thread title is on "Chronic kidney disease on the rise in Singapore: NKF medical director"

you were baited into talking about vax and you swallow it hook, line, and sinker.

Generally for discussion forum, we try to not be over prescriptive about being on topic especially for a chit chat forum like EDMW, however in recent years, discussion topics in EDMW have turned more serious and correspondingly, there have been a more folks on both side who are very emotionally vested in such topics.
The 3 topics are namely pro and anti vaxxer, Sino US rivalry and Russo-Ukraine War.
There are already many topic that cater to those folks and other folks are simply not interested in the squabbling outside of those thread as such we do not condone people pushing their agenda in non related threads.

The topic is not about vaccine and our members do not want to read pro or anti vax propaganda in those thread, which is why we received a report from them.

So your point stays

2. your post was reported and his post wasn't.

3. you are right, generally we do not try to be too harsh on member chit chatting but again for those 3 topics, there is a tendency to degenerate into name calling other members instead of the topic content

4. so things like "Putinmao" and these kind of inflammatory posts where the intention is to discuss other members or rile up other members instead of discussing the thread topic, are not welcome and as such he has been warned but that doesnt give you the right to be baited.

Would you like to clarify that there was totally no reports on his post?

Because we did in fact make several reports on his posts for derailing...

An official log/records would be helpful for clarification...

Just checked, and found that there is no report on posts made by MikeDirnt78 in that discussion thread.

Our Moderators had also looked into the posts you mentioned and had taken action on them, including a warning given to MikeDirnt78.
