Just upgraded skipping Maverick, direct to El Capitan. The icons look so flat! Cannot find their touted new font "San Francisco".

I don’t think you’ll be able to find it as its a system font.
Apple’s intention wasn’t for people to use the font on documents etc

And to answer OP’s question.
Carbon copy is the way to go
