Close bank account

I have small amounts of money in some bank accounts left over from years ago.
If I just withdraw everything, will the bank auto close the account after some months?
Or must go to banks to close them?

I only tried closing DBS/POSB online .... just transfer the money out of the accts you wanna close, then do so online ....

Think UOB need to go physical branch to close accts .....

No experience with the other banks ....

Most banks require you to intentionally close the account, some can just use their ibanking secure messages, some need to go the branch. Some banks may deactivate your account if nil balance and inactive for a long period of time.

I would not suggest just transferring all the money out, esp if the accounts got fall below fees, your balance may go negative and you will need to settle the negative balances before you can close the account.
