Hi Guys,
My current sys is a i3.

whenever i transfer data from com to portable hdd and at the same time multitask the com will be very slow.
i believe it only have 4gb ram.
is the lag due to the small ram or due to virus/malware? i have antivirus on com .

if it is ram since i am on i3 i can buy ant ddr3 ram plug n play right?

That is normal for it to slow down. Your com HDD is transferring things to the ext hdd. Making at that time your HDD is busy working things. Your os is installed in the HDD causing the sluggishness when it is doing something at the same time.

The best option is to install an os in ssd. This will improved the whole os performance and if you transfer your stuffs from the com HDD to your ext HDD it won't be touching the ssd thus faster and much responsive.

Nothing to do with rams. 4gb is enough.

i used to have a small ssd for my OS. after a while the ssd is full due to all the updates and accidental download. so i remove it.

i have 2 HDD .so does that mean if i saved my stuff in the other drive/moving from other drive it will be fine?

Theoritically it should not affect the overall os. But in actual fact not sure. So far have not tested it yet. Best way is to get an ssd probably 128gb type. This should suffice.

But not sure how small is small your previous ssd. By right it should not be full for just os only. I think what you download from internet or torrent something it stores in the ssd. Till you yourself config it to save at HDD or manually transfer everything over to hdd.
