Com not picking up mic from headset

I just bought a headset Siberia V3 Prism which connects via USB.

The problem is that I have audio but the microphone is not working. It is installed, unmuted and put as default device but when I talk into the mic the indicator bar never move.

Not sure what's wrong. Going crazy cuz of this lol

The mic is only activated only when there is a programe that needs it.

Such as when you turn on skype it will turn on mic when you are talking. Else it will remain off.

So just to check, are you refferring to when you wanna use the mic to talk to someone, it does not work?

I tried with skype with it as the default mic device then try the test call but doesnt work. Only got audio.

The settings should be the microphone of the model of the headphones. (If you could set)

Does the headphones comes with a usb port and another 3.5mm jack?

I using SS Siberia V3 Prism, they use the ss engine thingy but i already set the mic to max.

Nope, only usb.

I just tried it on my sis macbook and it works ugh.

Must be some setting somewhere not set properly.

Uninstall it and see how it goes.

Wait for others to help ba. Not sure why is it that way.

You set the mic under "recording" or "playback" devices? Mic must be set under recording. And set the volume level to 100

Yea it's under recording and volume level 100.
