Hi seniors,

Been awhile since my last built and based on the fact, I NEED to play Fallout 4. i would need an upgrade.

my current spec as followed
MOBO - MSI P55A-G55 (1156 socket ..haizzz..)
GFX - Power color HD 6850 (double haizz)
RAM - Kinston hyper value 2x4gb DDR3 ram (still reusable in new mobo??)

Will get a 240 GB SSD, maybe black Friday sale or else where

other misc, my com case - cooler master cm2 plus (loved it)

got a budget hopefully less than 1K sgd 800 if possible.
i hope to make this new setup last another few more years, so not sure will it be a 4790 or the newer gen 6 series

any advice would be most appreciated....

you can change to an i7 860 and r9 390/gtx 970 and see if it works. my hd 7950 alr can play ultra at 50-60fps if i turn godrays and shadow quality to low

If your com can play skyrim, fallout 4 will sure run.

Can run is 1 thing. If u expect the game to run smoothly on certain resolutions you may be disappointed as skyrim was designed with an older game engine. This game is a resource hungry Monster , it's been reported users using an i5 processor and below may suffer bottlenecks. It's currently 1 of the few games out that's using all 8 cores on a i7
