As of now my ptp batch we are transitioning to bmt and finally managed to pass my ippt with 67 points. 8 more to silver. My question is what is a good indication to go to command school? Does ippt pass suffice or do I have to get silver? And also soc and sit test and shooting are also the main criteria to get into command school. Any tips? I have a friend who got ippt gold, sit test peer appraisal all good and gpa 2.7 but never kana posted to any. Then another friend ippt just pass, sit test screwed up cause anyhow give instructions and like gong gong among peer appraisal because they selfish don't want him be commander cause he annoying with a gpa of 3.2 end up become sispec. So I have no idea how they asses them. Anyone got any clue?

I don't know what you mean by good indication. But the suggestion is, minimum is to pass to be considered. But apparently there are some who didn't pass and still get to go.

What do you mean by tips for "And also soc and sit test and shooting are also the main criteria to get into command school."???? What tips do you need?

Passing SOC and range should definitely help.

SIT Test is where they evaluate you, so of course it will be crucial.

Well, people who really know will definitely not go spill secrets which they aren't supposed to spill. What we can do is just speculate based on logical deduction.

None.

A Pass in IPPT will suffice (though Silver/Gold may increase your chance, of course).

SIT test is just but one part of the equation. Education is another. How your commanders see you is also one thing. All in all, it is your overall performance, but nobody can say for sure who will make it (not even your commanders). I have seen Company Best ending up as men.

No harm improving your IPPT/SOC results if you are gunning for command school, because you will have lesser time to train compared to PTP/BMT (mind you, SOC for commanders is 4:45, not 6:00).

Seriously no one know how one end up in command school.

However if you end up in SCS(SISPEC), only those who have poor result will deployed as Instructor for combat vocation like Infantry Specialist. Those who who have good result will deployed as Instructor for service vocation like Supply & Transport Supervisor.

Vocation in SCS is determined at Professional Term, not by results.

Different vocations train at different TIs during Professional Term. Posting is thereafter recommended based on a cadet's progress in the course and advice from instructors, and not just based on "good/bad".

1) Every SCS intake there will be certain vocation not available. So commander will base on available vocation to recommend the servicemen for Professional Term.

2) Every trainee will have a ranking in his course. Those who are from Infantry for Professional Term but have the lowest grading will end up as BMT instructor.

3) Service vocation like Supply & Transport Supervisor did not needs to go SCS for Foundation Term. They can directly sent to Supply & Transport Supervisor Course in STC after BMT. Their posting will base on STC Instructor recommendation from the list of available units.
