according to the website, JR Kansai Area Pass can be used on the Haruka limited express train between Kansai Airport and Kyoto in the non-reserved seat section. Apart from that, you cannot use any shinkansen or limited express trains.

guys, if i am using a JR Kansai Area Pass , can i
take this 2 routes from Nara and transfer at SHINIMAMIYA to namba ?

no. Nankai line is not under JR.
uncheck the "private railway" box when search with hyperdia coz u are using JR pass. there are routes that goes thru the same stations, but using JR Yamatoji Line Local from Shininamiya to JR Namba

u cant really covered much of Fukuoka in a day trip, probably just cover a bit of the city.
places of interest:
- canal city shopping mall
- tenjin and tenjin underground mall
- hawk town and yahoo! dome
- fukuoka tower and beach area
- castle ruins and park
- yatai (push cart stores)

for a day trip, maybe u can visit yahoo dome, then scroll along the beach to fukuoka tower and catch the sunset at the tower. then got for hakata tonkotsu ramen at the push cart stores along the river near canal city

my trip report for fukuoka here:

Yes, usually in the main train hall. In major hubs, each train company has their own halls. Not sure about other companies, JR ones has an English menu. In terms of userfriendliness, my experience is not so. You still need to figure out a bit. But not rocket science. If lost, just asked their staff that is around to help.

It's better for us just use their IC cards like ICOCA or SUICA, they are time saver.

i noticed that u are visiting ginkakuji instead of kinkakuji. any reason for that? coz i tot kinkakuji is quite iconic

fukuoka and okayama in a day may be a bit rush coz it is about 2.5-3hrs by shnkansen from kyoto to hakata

Day 1: Nara/Namba
Day 2: Kyoto (Ginkakuji, Kiyomizudera and Gion)
DAY 3 Kyoto (Nijo Castle, Nishiki Market)
DAY 4 Kyoto (Tofukuji Temple, Fushimi Inari Shrine & Arashiyama)
DAY 5 Fukuoka (Canal City) and Okayama (Kurashiki)
DAY 6 Hiroshima & Miyajima
DAY 7: Shopping @ Osaka/Namba/Shinseikai/Dotonbori Area etc
DAY 8: AM flight back home.

Day 1: I presume your arrival is KIX @ Osaka? Seems a bit rush since you need to clear immigration and go back hotel to deposit your luggage etc then travel back to Nara (I estimate you will reach Nara at around Noon). This will leave you few hours till early sunset (before 5pm).

I would recommend you either take out Nara or Namba.

Day 2, 3 -> You can cover more attractions in Kyoto like Kinkakuji , Ninnaji, Ryanoji, Nanzenji
Day 4 -> Normally i will leave full day in Arashiyama instead of putting Fushimi Inari and Tofukuji (My Suggestion is you re-do Day 3-5 to group all attractions close together to minimise travelling time)
Day 5 -> Fukuoka is quite far away (I suggest skip it or else you will spent a lot of time just on train ride). Okayama you should go Korakuen (One of Japan three great landscape Garden)
Day 6, 7 -> This is fine
