Computer keep prompting to format external HDD

I have this WD Elements. After a few times usage, it will prompt to format the hard drive. Even after format, once i attached and eject for a few times it will ask to reformat.

Is the hard drive faulty, or do I have to download something to replace a missing file?

Download HDTune and do an error scan (uncheck quick scan).
