Computer shuts down and restarts

Hi all,

My com has recently been powering down by itself and restarting on its own.

The event log says its a kernel-power 41 Task Category (63)

So I went to check online and most said it could be a PSU issue...

So I downloaded HWMonitor to check but I realise, I have no idea what to look out for... Anyone able to help to see if these numbers are normal or there is some issue with my PSU or perhaps another issue other than PSU.

You should be looking in your BIOS for the voltages.

Anyway your error just means Windows was not properly shut down.

This could be due to PSU, RAM, CPU, Motherboard, etc.

Yea they said its most prob a hardware issue but I can't seem to be able to pin point the issue. so I'm wondering anyway I can troubleshoot to know where the errors are?

Majority of forums have noted that its usually the PSU thats why I'm trying to see if there is any abnormalities in the voltages... which I have no idea what to look out for either. hahaha

Anyone able to guide me what the normal numbers should be or what I can look out for to troubleshoot?

just change psu first

Call a friend, borrow his PSU and plug into yours. Run furmark. If everything OK, means your PSU has got issues.

Return PSU to friend, and buy yourself a new one.

Can I use OCCT instead of Furmark? It does the same right? haha
