Connect 3 monitors

I have 2 DVI, 1 DP, 1 HDMI on my card, and. The instructions say

"To support 3rd monitor without DisplayPort cable connected, 2 of the 3 monitors should be the same model with DVI ports connected. The driver version should be v13.12 or above."

Does that mean the 2 monitors on DVI will be my left and right monitor and the HDMI will be my centre by default?

1 x HDMI (with 3D)
1 x DisplayPort 1.2
1 x Dual-Link DVI-D
1 x Dual-Link DVI-I

Say that's the case, does connecting 2xDVI and 1xHDMI allow me to span all 3 monitors?

or maybe windows display option? should be able to drag the monitor left and right to you liking?
