Continuation thread after hitting #10000 post

My "Homecooked Dishes - To exchange recipes, tips etc" thread will be reaching #10000 post soon. So when it hits #10000, a new continuation thread will automatically be created? Or do I have to do anything?

Will the old thread be still accessible? Coz I have a lot of recipes written/ shared on the thread. If the old thread will no longer be accessible, I better spend time copying out those recipes.
