I done before hacking at $2000 for 2 piece of wall and doing one partition for another $2000 as well.
Not sure if its a reasonable price but it did get the job done.

How big is your wall? I saw price to hack per foot run is $40 but cant find a price for building it

So building is double of hacking 😐

Partition is not that sound proof or reliable. Can consider hollow block.

Will be more ex option.

The entrance to the service yard is in the middle. I like to move the entrance to either side. So hacking and rebuilding is required.

Able to partition living room into another bed room ? Is it possible and allowed ? Curious . .

For the 5rm flat, HDB showroom got partition the suggested study room (part of the living room). But when u wanna sell, the next buyer might not appreciate.

Oh... Are we allowed to hack service yard wall? Understand we need their approval. Anyone has done it? Was thinking to add another door in the service yard as it shares the same wall to one of the bedrooms.

I think so, i have seen reno pic on google and ppl do hack off the walls (re design the layout)between service yard and kitchen due to the bad design.

Just that additional cost is involved. Now trying to find out the cost to avoid any over budget issues

Of course HDB approval is required for any hacking of walls

Service yard wall can be hack..

As usual any hacking requires a permit..The main cost of the hacking right goes to the PE's signature also..

PE's signature the last i google around cost 400-500..Hacking was around 700-800 for a simple wall..

I nv like the idea of removing the service yard wall, at least i can close the windows when wife is cooking and if i have clothes hanging on the ceiling rack at the yard..The smell which sticks onto the clothing can be :s22: especially after frying some stuff..

Well i also have same mentality as you but just prefer a L shape kitchen but require the service yard door to be at the side instead of in the middle

Well, do take note..

Facing the service yard door from the kitchen, to the right is usually the spot for washing machine due to the tap and drainage.. And to the left is where they place those gas heater if u are going to get them..

So... it would be another cost if i were to extend the water/gas supply to the other side?

Gas piping is not pre installed..u need to pay citygas then they will pipe for you..

If not planning to have the washing machine at the default position then u have to route the tap and also pull a longer drainage tube from the machine to the hdb drainage hole..

If planning to run the gas heater from the washing machine position then the outlet pipe from the heater would have to run longer..
