CPU, MOBO and RAM Compatibility

Hello,

Is there anyway i can check the compatibility of the 3 components ?

My current components are,

CPU: 7700k (https://ark.intel.com/content/www/u...-7700k-processor-8m-cache-up-to-4-50-ghz.html)

MOBO: Gigabyte Z270-HD3P (https://www.gigabyte.com/sg/Motherboard/GA-Z270-HD3P-rev-10/support#support-doc)

Looking to buy this RAM: CORSAIR Vengeance LPX Ryzen Certified 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3600MHz C18 DIMM Desktop Memory Kit - Black CMK16GX4M2Z3600C18 (https://www.lazada.sg/products/cors...o42.searchlist.list.1.25fc4f88IBj0Rb&search=1)

Though the exact part number is not listed under the support list, the Tested Latency: 18-19-19-39 is there.

In support list Part number is CMK16GX4M2B3600C18 and CMK16GX4M2B3600C18R but in lazada the PN is CMK16GX4M2Z3600C18.

I search it up the mobo support list but cannot find the P/N in the list. Also, can both the CPU and Mobo handle that ram with XMP enabled ? Don't wanna spend money and end up cannot use :/

Any help is greatly appreciated!

as long as is 270/250/150 and support intel 6th and 7th gen it can use.. no matter the product number is what.

Thanks! I guess you mean to say that all mobo with that numbers that supports intel 6/7 gen are compatible. How about CPU compatibility.. is there even such a thing ? or Cpu compatible with mobo, so it will be compatible with the ram @ 3600mhz ?

CPU compatibility ? You already provided the link in your opening post.
If it's in the list, it's supported.

Intel only list the official supported ram speed in their website because they also smart enough to know anything beyond the official JEDEC standard is not guaranteed.

nono. What i meant was is there such thing as CPU and Ram compatibility ? ie, 7700k can only use up to 2600mhz speed rams etc

Officially yes, it's listed on the Intel website.
" DDR4-2133/2400, DDR3L-1333/1600 @ 1.35V "

Unofficially, you have to base on reviews and forums for feedback.
XMP profiles usually have a high degree of compatibility.

if you're using K series .. only some H board support OC and all Z board support OC..

3600mhz ram need enable xmp in bios if not it will run as default 2133mhz..

I dont get what you mean by cpu compatibility.. as long as it supports your cpu it will work.

need do some research which motherboard has xmp support and can support up to how much mhz ram

edit : even if you have 4000mhz ram.. as long as your motherboard support 4000mhz you can OC it to 4000mhz .. to be honest anything past 3000mhz have little to no affect on gaming wise. anything more than 3000mhz are mostly use for productivity
