Considering gtx 1060 and 24inch monitor factor in. 1.2k is indeed difficult but do-able.

Google fps benchmarks for your games mentioned using gtx 1060 and 1050.
Then decide whther you really need 1060.
Maplestory, dota definitely no need.
Imo, u dun need gtx 1060.

I would buy gtx 1050, 850 evo 256gb ssd from amazon.

Is my request impossible or? Cause I've seen a few rigged by some store from fb but idk if it's really the most value for my money. So I'm here asking for some guru help. I play maplestory, dota2, ping, defo only.

Go lazada search for lzx evolve S3, $1059. Remaining budget can get monitor from there too.

But no ssd. This budget can get 1060 with company warranty I feel not bad Liao.

Pckaki has company warranty? No, right? You need to troubleshoot yourself and do warranty claims with distributor if any parts spoil. Diy system builder usually is just assembled for you and you are on your own.

you mentioned you are looking for 'a trustable one should there be problem in 2-3 years ', so you should be looking for a shop that provides warranty for the system. Aftershock and other brands would be over your budget.

Trustable I meant by not overcharging or giving me something not as good. For warranty wise I guess I'm okay with handling on my own. But by directly comparing pckaki and lzx. Which one is more value? Or will it be even cheaper if I go down to SLS to get the parts myself?

There's many price list of sls shops in this forum under 'shopping' download them and compare yourself?

Sorry, hard to compare lzx and pckaki as warranty conditions are different. If just in terms of bundle pricing, I will pick lzx coz I can make use of credit card at lazada and take advantage of lazada/Fuzzie/credit card discount.

Hi BalaPrince,

Below is my recommended build for your budget and requirements. I have given you a choice between AMD Ryzen R5 or Intel i5 CPUs.

Because currently for gaming, Intel CPU is slightly better but in the future, games might take advantage of the extra cores of the AMD Ryzen so performance will improve. And if you go into game streaming/video editing/content creation, the extra cores of the AMD Ryzen will be better.

Prices from Tradepac unless otherwise stated:

CPU & MB Bundle: AMD Ryzen R5 1400 & Asrock AB350M @ $339

OR

CPU & MB Bundle: Intel i5-7400 & Asus H110M-A.M2 @ $337

RAM: Kingston DDR4-2133 8GB @ $87
GPU: MSI GTX 1060 6GB Afterburner Dual Fan @ 339 (Lazada - Apply Fuzzie $300 Gift Card with $60 Cashback)
SSD: WD Blue M.2 500GB @ $182 (Lazada - Apply Fuzzie $200 Gift Card with $40 Cashback)
Casing & Power Supply Bundle: Tecware F3 & FSP Hexa+ 450W @ $80
Keyboard & Mouse Bundle: Logitech Desktop MK120 @ $20
OS: Windows 10 @ Approx $10 (Carousell)
Monitor: Dell SE2417HG @ $129 (Lazada - Apply Fuzzie $150 Gift Card with $30 Cashback)

Total Cost (AMD Build with OS & Monitor) - $1186
Total Cost (Intel Build with OS & Monitor) - $1184

Hi! Thank you for your reply and help. However I got some question I would like to clarify.
1. Is there a big diff between i5-7400, and i5-7500?
2. Is there a big diff between brands for gtx1060 cause I've seen diff brand with diff price.
3. Is there a big diff between fsp450w and fsp550w and is this a trustable brand for power supply? Or should I sacrifice other component to get a better power supply? (Heard from fren power supply is impt)
4. Is there a good gaming keyboard I can get for $100?
5. Is AMD Ryzen a mainstream thing or is it a new thing and for future proofing?

Sorry for so many questions but I'm trying to be a careful spender. Thanks in advance and thanks for understanding :)

1. Significant difference. Not big but definitely notable.
2. Type of cooler different. More expensive usually more overkill. Also, some are due to brand premium like MSI and asus. Palit and zotac are the budget ones yet perform equally well.
3. Same psu, just bigger wattage. If you looking to overclocking by buying Ryzen, I suggest get a better psu like those with 80+ Gold certification. Overclocking is more stable with better psu as their power output is cleaner. But both the FSP psu have 80+ white certification already. They are still good enough for using of coz. Your build very very budget conscious already. Don't think you can sacrifice anything for a better psu.
4. Logitech G213. Mem-chanical. Mechanical-membrane hybrid. It's membrane keyboard but emulate the mechanical key feels. Do try them before buying.
5. Mainstream and future proof if you can afford the 6 core variant. Those 4 cores variants are still okay but more like a weak Intel i7. You won't notice performance difference in day to day usage. Even gaming, most of the time we are limited by the gpu bottleneck as we try to max the graphic detail as much as possible usually.

Firstly, there's a slight mistake that I made above, which is Ryzen R5 1400 has only more threads (4 cores & 8 threads) than a i5-7400 (4 cores & 4 threads), not more cores. But more threads do help in game streaming, video editing, etc...

(1) Speed difference between an i5-7500 vs i5-7400 is 0.4 Ghz but the difference in FPS while gaming is not very significant. It's your call, if you can spend the extra $33, then go ahead.

(2) Difference between brands are to the amount of factory overclock, the cooling fan, design, the display ports, length of the card, etc... But if the video cards are not factory overclocked out of the box, they all perform similarly. Do take note there are 3GB versions of the GTX 1060 which perform worse than the 6GB versions.

(3) FSP is a reputable brand for power supply. 450W is enough for the build that I suggested.

(4) Gaming keyboards are a bit subjective to recommend as it depends on individual's taste/preference. Some examples around $100 that you can consider are Logitech G213 or 413, Razer Ornata, Corsair K55 RGB

(5) Ryzen is quite new and I've put in my post about its future proofing. If you want to know more about it, please google or search Youtube reviews and Hardwarezone forums.

Ryzen 5 1400 has better performance when it comes to multi cores

Core i5 has better single core performance.

I would get ryzen 1400 if you wan future proofing.

As for gaming keyboards, value for money keyboards are those that came with kailh, and longhua switches. Eg ttesports poseidon z.

Hi, i feel that im comfortable for the build as recommended by irenicus.
But a few points i have doubt with.
1. Im okay with i5-7400 but u said that in point 5 its better to get the 6core variant( are u referring to the ryzen 1400 as its 4 core?) if yes i'll probably go with the mainstream and go i5-7400 than ryzen, for the only purpose of future proof for me.
2. u mentioned that diff brand has diff price point due to brand premium, so can i check for the recommendation of msi gtx1060 afterburner 6gb for 339 isit more expensive compared to the exact same performance but cheaper brand like palit? If i can get a cheaper alt of gtx1060 6gb for a lower price from other brands i wont mind getting.
3. as for the keyboard i'll probably go try them out first before getting but if im able to save some money from the gpu, i might get a razer one cause i love their macro and synapse.
