Hi guys,
I am currently thinking of building a $1.5K or so gaming rig to replace my 7 years old desktop. So far I have come up with a list of items, but I am not sure if this new PC will last me ~4 years or so.

Specs:
CPU+Mobo: MSI-Z87 G43 + i5 4670K - $452
OS : Windows 7 H.P - $115
GFX+PSU: MSI GTX 760 TF + Seasonic M2II 620W - $499
Casing+Cooler: Corsair H60i + 300R Case - $185
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1 TB ~$80
SSD: Plextor M5S 128Gb - $???
RAM: 8GB [not sure what brand]

Is the list of parts I listed out fine?? If not, feel free to help me. :) Thanks Alot

Rig looks fine.

RAM, you can go for speed of around 2133MHz (since I think you are oc-ing).. Normal brands will be Corsair, G.Skill or Kingston..

M5S should be around $120-ish..

Not sure if it will last you gaming for 4 years but at least should be around 2 to 3 years..

When the time comes, just change gfx.. :s13:

OC-ing should last you for 4 to 5 years bah..

Just take note that Haswell is slightly more difficult to OC and has higher heat..

Thanks for the advice, I will try OCing in the near future once everything is set-up. Hopefully.

Does the new freq rams really make a diff? Remember seeing some review that it makes not much diff. But I think the comparison was 800 vs 1600mhz ?

Thanks for the help guys, I have read that the frequency of the RAM doesn't really affect performance much so I guess I shall stick with a 2133Mhz for now.

Is not about the speed. Is about ocing. Once you hit a certain speed you may want. The speed of the ram got to be reduced further so that there will be lesser room for errors.
