Declining Job Offer after VERBALLY accepting?

Coy A gave me a verbal offer and asked me for verbal acceptance by this week(latest deadline) before drafting the contract for me to sign.
Coy B said they will be making an offer to me after getting management approvals on the $ but might need some time.

Can just verbally accept offer A first while waiting for offer B to come right? Just that I might seemed like a jerk if I decline A after agreeing to join them..

TS' reputation in the banking sector will be smelly.

Tell Co B that you would need them to expedite as you already received an offer, hopefully they will speed things up for you if they really want you to join. For Co A, tell them you needed more time to consider. Do not accept and then decline subsequently and burn your bridges and reputation (especially if your industry is very small)..
