Recently my pc's internet keeps getting disconnected, only workaround was to restart the google wifi or diagnose which fixed the default gateway unavailable issue.

Any permanent fix to this?

Thanks!

I found out that if i reconnect the lan cable it works immediately.... what's the issue with the default gateway?

Could it be something wrong with the mobo?

Oh thought it might be due to the lan port cos when i replug it, the connection is back immediately without having to diagnose etc.. only lan has intermittent issue, wifi to my phone etc all working.

My apologies, dont really know much about such stuff.

In that case will replace the wifi mesh to see if the issue gets fixed, currently whole house using the google wifi mesh leh... a bit costly to replace everything when only one mesh has issue

Thanks for your advise!

You should have said earlier that all other devices were unaffected when your computer suddenly becomes default gateway unavailable. If your wifi is realtek this can sometimes happen. try changing to intel ax210 if it fits. Should cost about 25 from lazada

What your wifi card detail?

hmm i dont have any wifi card on my pc, it's connected via the lan cable. When the default gateway happens, i can diagnose to get it fixed for awhile and the issue comes back. Tried unplugging and plugging back from my pc and it immediately works too.

i face this issue too when I use realtek lan for too long. its a driver issue.

a workaround is the use another ethernet, can be connected via usb. As long as the other one is able to communicate with the router, both will never face this issue.

WOW 2.5G NIC.

Have you done this before (didn't saw from 1st post).

- Change Network cable
- Update the drivers

Thank you, sorry another ethernet meaning use the usb port to ethernet lan connector / adapter? Will this affect the speed?

Yes, i've tried:

1) Updating the driver / uninstalling and restarting comp to let it reinstall
2) use diff lan cable (that's network cable right?)

As this issue is intermittent, quite hard to see if it's fixed but so far the 2 methods i've tried doesn't work, the issue still comes back.

Def not the issue with my google wifi mesh also as i've changed another one and the issue still persists.

I just got this rig set up in mid dec last year, all the way no issues until recently... not sure why too i didn't make any changes to the hardware / software...

Right now trying other versions of the network adapter, 1 by 1 try see if anything works or not...
