Delivery returned to sender

Hi, know a lot of you guys buy online etc, can ask if delivery company can just return parcel to sender just because not full name? My case is Japan courier return my parcel to sender because not giving full name. I use " Jack" Now I have to give full name and pay another delivery fee. I have no issues last time, same name and address. Sender also sent more than 10+ times no issues.

Unfortunately the shipping service provider requires that the full name of the recipient be on the package so that they can confirm that the person receiving the package is the person who the package is intended for.

don't tell me the courier will check your full name on your nric?

This is Japan side relatively recent regulation, they require full name to send parcel, be it local or international. Once enter SG, local delivery won't care all these. Then is see luck, when these things change, takes some time for the processes to be in place to catch the outliers. In this case you suay lor.

Next time prior to delivery, they will send u a code number. The delivery guy will ask u for code number for authentication before giving item to you.
