[UPDATE] Dell gaming monitor shows damage after four months and warranty rejected!

monitor-damage.jpg

Dell just rejected my request to replace my four months old monitor under warranty.
Are they really going to make me spend hundreds of dollars for *another* expensive gaming monitor, and the second dell branded monitor that I seen die???
Is this how dell treats its loyal customers????
#dell #dellsingapore #badservice

I got my monitor replaced! anyone here wants to eat their hats? :s22:

Is there any physical damage ?if not I don't see why Dell won't honour the warranty

The lack of information due to whatever reason makes me doubt whatever TS wrote.

Look again.. just added a photo.
Got up in the morning, cleaned my screen with a microfibre cloth, and turned it on to find this damage. No, I did not press hard, and no, I did not knock on it with anything.

Try to get them down to inspect if it’s not caused by you. Though hard to prove not user fault :s22:

Ask Dell to send people down to see it themselves.

what model did you buy?

Take down the person name whom advised you warranty was void in this manner.

Ask them the question, : "what made you think this is not manufacture defect or workmanship failure?"

They will not send anyone to see it themselves.. they ask you some questions, and that's it.
I bought the S2716DG gaming model. bloody expensive and I rather not spend over 700 s$ again, but if I do - I'm sure it won't be a DELL product anymore.
I'm trying your suggestion. thanks. Not holding my breath though.

Escalate this up to their Customer Service Manager.

Honestly, you didn't do anything not RIGHT huh?

I trust you~

Looks like screen crack due to user negligence (literally crack lines based on photo TS provided) screen burn/bleed/ whatever backlight related/ unable to turn on screen dell will look into it, but yours really seems like it's user inflicted.. good luck though TS depends on your luck :s12:

I did not knock on it, bumped it, or anything like that.
