I am going to enter SIT's software engineering course in Sept and I'm looking for a laptop that supports games like Battlefield 4, GTA V as well as use in this university course.

Is this laptop worth it?

- 1TB 5400 rpm SATA Hybrid Hard Drive with 8GB Cache will it be slow or not?
- 8GB ram enough or not?

I emailed them and they say upgrade to 16GB RAM will cost an additional $218..

But then i search online for the best ram available and found the 16GB(8gb x 2) Corsair Vengeance 1866mHz @ $130 USD ~! $180 SGD

http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-Performance-1866MHz-CMSX16GX3M2B1866C10/dp/B00FMRV7R6

If convert to SGD and add to original price probably will cost like $1355.97

Wondering if the Corsair vengeance 1866 mhz 16gb (8gb x 2) will be worth it and compatible with the dell 7447??

Fyi, US hardware hv got NO local warranties. Anything wrong must send bk to US vendor.
Buy the lappy n swap the Hybrid drive to a locally bought SSD. Clone the OS first.
As for rams, buy those that carry local lifetime warranty.
PM me n I'll advise U foc.
