Dell U2412M OSD Problem

My 2 year old Dell U2412M monitor started to show the following symptom a few days ago. The on-screen display (OSD) menu starts on its own, and cycles through the input source menu (VGA, DVI-D, DisplayPort) continuously for an indeterminate amount of time, sometimes 5mins. The problem is intermittent as long as the monitor is powered and connected to a VGA video source.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? Any quick fix before I contact Dell Support? Thanks.

Try with dp or dvi-d??? since u mentioned u are using vga cable. or maybe with another vga cable.

It could be a faulty key that trigger the OSD.

Thanks for the replies. I concluded that the monitor is faulty by connecting the PC to TV using the same VGA cable. Then I contacted the friendly Dell Support and was offered 1-1 exchange, and I am pretty happy about that.
