Dell U3014 Users (anyone ?? lol)

Hi,

Are there U3014 users? Hows the font size like? is it too small?

I tot of hooting 6 x U3014 and using them in landscape mode....but its too costly to replace my current setup of 3x 24 & 3 x 27...all both very cheaply/ second hand...

The main problem is my neck need move up n down...kind of a strain, else solution is 6 x 24

any users using multiple widescreen in potrait mode, just want to get feedbacks?

Personally i do not own one,but i don't think is going to be of a problem.

If you want to view,you may try your luck at the Dell direct store at funan but i am not too sure if there are any on display, as i vaugely remeber a 30" on display.

I believe the font would be slightly bigger than the 27 inch because at similar resolution but on a bigger screen, you will definitely get bigger fonts.

it'll be blurry if u get same res on bigger screen. just like running 1080 on 1440. am i right?

Yes, it won't be as sharp as the pixel density is different.

Like in the past, there was only 17 and 19 inch monitors with the same resolution. The font on the 19 inch was bigger but the font on 17 inch was sharper.

U3011 user here. Font is ok. Sharp enough. I sit about 50cm from my monitors.

my 27 are 1920 x 1200 Dell 2707WFP & dell 2709, uncle resolution....i find 24' 1920x 1200 a tad smaller liao...so that's why hesitant about 30' 2560 x 1600....

setting me back is the one time huge cost, 1800 x 6 = 10800 or 1800 x 5 = 9000...... and also the font size...

my current setup is relative cheap under 2k, mostly sourced from second hand sellers...

A u3014 user here.. still paying the installments lol. no regrets so far..
fonts are ok for me cos i used 2711 ultrasharp before.. of course overall it will be smaller for fonts, icons but it's high res so that is what u are suppose to expect

as for multimonitor i tried 24" before but definitely not 30" cos 1. no money, 2. no space

if u want to view can come my house at Tampines.
