Hi fellow HWMs,

I wish to go for a trip to Japan and it seem from the buzz here, Delta airlines offer quite good rates during april(to catch the cherry blossom).

However, delta seem to have pretty negative reviews?
Is it worth taking?

negative review like? odd hours? Last time I took it was ok and yes, the departure is kind of weird. But a plus point is the arrival is 10am, once you travel from Narita to your Hotel, it should be almost close to the check in time (after having lunch)

I would also like to know your flight is from where to where. Reason for asking is that i always fly delta, love their arrival timing perfectly for check in. The cabin crews also good service, they responded okay. Either you met one that is having menses or you are a difficult customer.

Bro are you referring to the Narita to USA leg? If so I do believe you.

Those American auntie air stewardess can be quite rude and loud...esp if you encounter the ermm... darker skin ones (I know I'm racist, but it's a fact)

If its from SG to Narita, most of the crews are sinkies ya... those girls are fellow Singaporeans and Malaysians ya.. Delta girl's may not have the looks like what you'd find on JAL and ANA, but they're generally quite pleasant.. :)

Hey give our ladies a break ba... Its tough being a air stewardess... My ex-gf used to work with United Airlines for many yrs until she was too 'old' to be one. ^_^

She said on the surface many pple thinks they're high class, but often they're just glorified waitress. And waitress don't need to help passengers with heavy luggage.. And then you are really pretty, you're always at risk of being molested on the plane by numerous drunken ang moh... :( My ex-gf kenna many times during her career liao. Often she will just keep quiet if the incident is not too outrageous... cos there's some unwritten rule that if you escalate the incident to your superiors, it will affect your yearly performance appraisal...

my experience with delta was ok. nothing to complain about, nothing special either. my worst experience was with SQ, and best was MH and CX
for economy class, all the full fledge airlines are about the same. so when booking flights, my main considerations are price and timing

Delta is famous for sh*t cabin service in coach. Just because you experience good service doesn't mean other people get bad service then you call them difficult customers.

Personally, Delta dun really rank highly up my list either due to their awkward flight timings, bad food. As flights from SIN-TYO are usually US bound, the security checks are really strict and gosh, their luggage allowance was really damn strict a few yrs back. But I did hear that they ease up a bit already but back then, even 2kg over the limit and they dun allow -_-

so long as not systemic lousy/bad can liao. Other than that usually due to one or 2 black sheep. If I encountered one lousy attitude crews/staff I will normally just apply self cooling kung fu call "Ren Gong". I am not going to let him/her spoil my hard earned holiday.

actually, there are reasons why they are strict on luggage weight. in some countries, it is the rights of the airport staff not to carry anything above a certain weight limit.

I do agree about the strict security checks. my shoes was electronically sniffed even though we were late and everyone was waiting for us to board the plane. that was 5 years ago.
