Hi,

I am looking at getting a desktop for audio production and thought perhaps it will be best to get advise and tips here. I searched this forum but found none on this topic except those in pre-2014 threads. I am not going with Apple at all. My objective is:
  1. Intel based system, preferably either of the 10th gen 700 or 900 CPU available; most Digital Audio Workstation software forums recommend Intel;
  2. 32GB RAM as I've learnt that RAM is second to CPU in efficiently handling audio tracks in audio production; what is your opinion of using 32GB Klevv BOLT X 3200 Mhz (16x2) and which is better - 16x2 or 8x4?
  3. Is liquid cooling necessary?
  4. What is your opinion of ASUS ROG STRIX Z490-F Gaming, since workstation class hardware is overkill and office class hardware is not sufficient? I can add a Thunderbolt card if needed in future because some Audio Interface supports Thunderbolt instead of USB;
  5. also, does this board truly supports 3200MHz RAM?
  6. I am likely to go with Aftershock's Hypergate (https://www.aftershockpc.com/welcome/ProductconfigRec/hypergate-new-5) which listed 1TB M.2 NVME SSD (R: 3500 | W: 3000), without stating brand and the Samsung costs almost $200 more;
  7. what is your opinion of the ZOTAC RTX 2070 SUPER AMP OC 8GB as I am likely to use just 1 monitor and because of mindmapping software, ease on the eyes is important;
  8. audio will be handled by the Audio Interface mentioned (an audio interface is like an external sound card but with better than board's preamps);
  9. and where in the board should I place the Toshiba 7200 1TB or 2TB HDD?
  10. not concerned about the rest of the specs but wondering what is the most reliable 144Hz/27inch display available in the market;
If this looks like I know my stuff, I don't. It is a result of my info gathering only, without any experience since the last time I built a PC was in the Pentium days. Thanking you guys in advance. My budget is $3,000 but only if I need to stretch it. Cheers!
