Desktop tripping circuit breaker

Hi all need some help here.

When I try to turn on the supply for my com, the circuit breaker in my room trip this is before I turn on my com. Is it confirmed that my psu is spoilt.

If it's my psu the cause, any recommendations for a 500 to 600 W psu.

Got try other plugs? If trip house breaker also quite risky le. Swap out. How old is the psu?

Yup I tried other outlets, am using a multi plug for my com but apparently the others never cause the trip but only when I turned on the power for my com.

The psu is about 3 years I think, maybe it's time to change I guess.

Or is it the mains having problem? Have you test other electrical appliances with that circuit tripping mains plug?

What brand and model is your PSU? Decent ones over 5 years also no problem.

Yup tried with other electrical appliances, no issue. Thanks for reminding forgot to try with something else.

OCZ stealth X stream 2 700 W. I did not bought this actually but got this when I sent my previous psu for rma and they told me it's no longer in production and gave me this.

Thats one good psu you have. But yeah no longer sold in sg le.

My primary suspect is the mains issue.

Same thing happen to my comp but that is only after intense gaming on high settings. The circuit breaker trip and will only turn on if I unplug the comp. When the system cools down, comp able to switch on ok.

I suspect its the PSU. I will be changing mine soon.... Just no gaming for now... lol.

FSP Raider 550W or 650W PSU. It has very high efficiency (80 Plus silver). Tradepac at SLS may sell it.

It has a dedicated 12V rail (unlike other PSUs which have two or even more 12V lines) so you're unlikely to overload a 12V rail when you install a high power graphics card.

Your PSU is overloading when under intensive load.
Better change as soon as possible before a bloom and flash happens.

Is there any more information you need?
And also how do you tell if the capacitors are shorted?

I guess for my case it's more serious than yours as it trips when I on my outlet switch, can't even turn on my com

I am a total noob on this and have no idea on the 12v lines thanks for your recommendation, will keep that in mind
