Digital lock with homekit support

I am moving to a new hse soon . Thinking of getting digital lock with homekit support .any recommend ? With digital lock i think less keys in your pocket .there are a few advantages of having digital lock. late going home and forgot to bring keys ,need to wake up wife or kids. Friends or relatives visit you but you are still outside .You won’t have to carry around a large set of keys and they will be less likely to be lost or stolen. Also, if you are a landlord, you don’t have to give residents keys or replace them if they lose them. Most of the homeowners have a misconception that biometric locks need maintenance and repair service after some times. They also think that these locks require a huge amount of electricity for running. But the truth is something else. These locks can run for several years with a single battery.with electronic locks you do not have to worry about losing keys.if you are carrying a heavy load it would be hard to search for keys to open the door.

I have the august digital lock.
Quite decent and the good thing i like about it is, you can install it over your current lock.

So if your digital lock's mechanism were to spoil, you can still use your key to open the door.
I used to have the gateman. The battery connection started to corrode and there was once the door would not open. Changed batteries but it would work sporadically. Was worried my parents would get locked out so i decided to get the august smart lock.

Only issue is, you have to ask august support to help you create an account. Their registration page is useless and can only create accounts if you area US based customer even though there is an option to select overseas mobile numbers.

Really? Sounds good. Is it something that can be installed ownself over the existing lock? HDB doors as well??

You can install it yourself.
I tried to do it myself. But the design of my door hindered the placement of the August lock and my old lock would not align properly so I engaged someone to install it for me.

There is a list of locks on the August website to show you which locks will work well.
Think most hdb locks would be ok.

Most likely need to replace the whole lock.
You can always contact a few installers and send them the picture for them to advise.

As mentioned, try the August lock, or Yale locks.
