Disk Clone from old HDD to SSD

Hi, I am pretty out of touch with pc aspects and the last time I did a clone was 5 years ago using aomei.
My requirement is simple. I got this 120 GB IDE HDD and I want to move everything over to a SSD.
There is Windows 10 on the HDD and it is already activated.
The SSD is a Kingston 240GB. I would to move everything over then will remove the old HDD. Hope the data will be intact in case the cloning somehow didn't turn out well.
I check a few freeware and they all state the contents on the target disk will be deleted during the cloning. This is not what I want.
Can help to recommend the most suitable freeware for my usage?

Data on the target disc i.e. the SSD, will be deleted. This is normal. The cloned SSD will contain the data from the HDD.

target disk means destination disk bro. i assume its an empty disk. so u can proceed. i use aomei program too as it is easy to use.

Existing Content on your SSD will be Deleted as it will clone everything from your IDE HDD to your SSD.

Only solution is for you to backup your SSD Content to another HDD first then do the clone then copy it back to your SSD.

Oh...sorry...I misinterpreted...I thought target disk is referring to my original source IDE disk....haiz...really getting old liao.

Yes, correct....my brain getting bad....

I check a few videos and minitool partition wizard appears to be a popular choice.

Actually there are many cloning software out there. Personally I am using Clonezilla. It is more like a freeware. All you need is to set the thumbdrive bootable and allow you to clone device to device.

From a smaller to bigger device with Clonezilla is pretty easy

Hi Folks,
Thanks for all the advice and help.

Received my SSD and proceed to clone using the Minitool Partition Wizard and was.....slap with the payment screen....

Proceed to DL and use AOMEI Partition Assistant Free (AOMEI BackUpper should be ok too) and cloning done in about less than 30 minutes.

Using SSD is really much faster and will not hear the "grr grr grr" when using IDE previously. Lol.

Just something curious, my BIOS detected Primary IDE and my SATA (SSD) in the BIOS.
It seemed that I could not select my Primary IDE as secondary boot in the Boot Priority.
The option doesn't turn up.

Anyway, Im planning to remove the IDE HDD in the end. But just curious about setting the IDE as secondary boot.

The mobo I'm using is ASUS M4A78 PRO.

Just set the IDE as non boot disk and use it as a play disk (store only temporary data).
