Divination lot from Guan Ying Temple at Bugis

Today went to Guan Ying to draw a lot.. it was no. 46 Lot

Lot 46

My advice is to stay still and make no change. Be sure you take no action or new plans. Be patient, for someone will soon come to help. By then, a withered tree will blossom again.

The flowering of a withered tree is an illustration of things accomplished in a natural way. O human effort is therefore necessary. Better stay quiet and keep things as they are with no change and no action. Any move will bring with it misfortune. You are promised safety both for you and your family. Business deals are promising but the time not ripe for a big profit. You had better wait for your chance. Match-making will be finally concluded and a girl will be born. You will reap only half of your grain and silk harvest and rearing livestock will not be profitable either. Your expected guest may encounter difficulties on the way. There is no news about the missing and no hope in looking for lost items. If you go to law, you may win. Migration or travelling is not recommended. Recovery from illness relies much on prayer. But luck is with your ancestral graves.

fast forward 4 years 8months

now i am marry wif a kid.. really like the lot say.. stay calm n make no changes everything will come in place...

2013 - 2014 : i stay single n work

2014 : i met a new girl (now wife)

2017 : i got my first child..

Instructions

Part 1:

The purpose of using sheng beis and lots are not meant to forecast the future, its more of seeking a direction when one is lost or at the cross road, not sure which route to take... One have to think through what he want to ask before going to ask GYM for any advice or directions.. Example going to ask GYM which job or field he is suitable to work as and trying to draw lot or whether he should quit the job etc is a No No.

One have to think through which job or field that he may have interest in like 2 or 3 areas then proceed to ask GYM which one can bring him better better job prospects. The person have to prepare a few questions or answers for Gym to verify with your reasons supporting too rather than asking GYM to decide if you should quit. Gym and other deity of other temple usually wont like to answer such questions. It still boils down to 可信不可迷.

1. Which tools to us ? Lots or Sheng beis ?

a. If the questions that you are asking belongs to yes, no, can, cannot or whether option 1, 2,3 is better = Use sheng bei to ask no need draw lots.

Example:
I got offer from company A, B and C, not sure which company can provide the best or better career prospects for me..
If A can provide, please give 1 or 3 sheng beis (1 or 3 depends on you)
Repeat for B and C then note down the results.
If B got sheng beis, A and C do not have sheng bei = A is the one.
If A and B got sheng beis and C dont have = A and B is ok so you may go back think about it.. if still cant think thru, can ask GYM again using this method.

In even all 3 options have sheng beis or no sheng beis, proceed to ask GYM if there is anything that you need to take note or know before making the decisions and you proceed to draw lots using draw lots SOP in next post.

*To note the above method no need to ask permission if you can proceed to ask your question*

Above methods, can be modify for asking which house or units to buy etc and time frame related questions, 正缘 related questions

Part 2:

2. When to draw lots ?

When your questions cant be answered using sheng beis like in point 1 above.
Example: If advice what should i take note, what should i do, whats the advice for me if i wish too....

Steps to draw lots (Full SOP).
a. Light incense and tell Gym or the deity of the temple (not facing 天公) and intro yourself, your purpose of visit and your questions.
Tell 观世音菩萨, Your Name, DOB with Time (Use 农历 lunar calendar if possible) and would like to ask a question pertaining to X
b. After put the incense into the urn, proceed to one side of temple and wait for about 15-20 mins (This allows GYM or the deity of the temple to check on your issues) - Many tend to skip this part.
c. Take lot tin and sheng beis and proceed to the prayer section or in front of the designated area.
d. Repeat your question again and ask GYM/deity if he is ok to give you advice on your question(s) via lot ?
- If yes give you 1 or 3 sheng beis (you decide but most important is to mention give you 1 sheng bei if you intend to use 1 sheng bei method)
- If there is no sheng bei mean your question, Gym or deity do not wish to advice which could be due to Various reasons or factors
- if got sheng bei, proceed to e.
e. Take the tin and start shaking
f. when one lot came out, ask GYM if this is the lot he want give you if yes, give you 1 sheng bei.
i. if got sheng bei = yes, go to step i. below
ii. if no sheng bei, go to g.

g. put the rejected lot one side and continue to draw lots.
h. when another lot came out, repeat step f. again.
i. Ask GYM if there would a 2nd lot for your question ?
- if yes, give you 1 sheng bei and you throw.
- If no sheng bei mean GYM only wish to give you 1 lot as advice.
- If got sheng bei, it mean GYM want to give you more than 1 lot so you proceed to next step J
j. Put the confirmed lot one side and put the rejected lots back into the tin and restart the draw lots steps again.
Repeat step e, f, g, h until GYM say there is no more next lots.

k. note down the sequence of the lot and just let us know will do. we will interpret for you.

Some may ask why need to do so complex steps, one lot is enough as GYM 神通广大 one lot is enough. yes right GYM is but we are not.
When GYM has multiple advice, he will give you more than 1 lot and its like a jigsaw puzzle. Gym can give up to as many as 10 lots for one advice. If one did not check if there is next lots and just left with 1 lot, we are not sure if the advice is complete and hence, unable to interpret correctly. or give you half interpretation then you come and say not accurate :frown:

This would result in the person interpreting the lot incorrectly and resulted in the person taking the wrong actions due to the person interpreting the lot would have to bear some of the karmic actions (i'm not kidding) :frown:. This includes using the wrong method to ask question like drawing lots asking yes no or optional questions too. The chance of lots answering such questions is low.

Recently, I have changed jobs and started working at the new place, which although is somewhat related to my last, it is much more intellectually challenging and varied in scope. Colleagues are nice people, thus far.

Everyday since I have started at the new place, I feel drained from work and worried that I may not last. My worry is generally that I am unable to cope with the volume and complexity from the demands in my new role, so I sought advice from GYM.

Can someone please help to share insights to the lot I have received?? Thanks!!

The new role you are working is fine.

You just started on this new job, the learning curve will definitely be steeper at the start. When you are more familiar with the processes, people etc . It will be fine.

previously i tell natch not to cosplay tua di ya pek and play with god.

he doesnt believe, now you see him ?

God is to respect and not play with.

I lying very low already... for one month, didn’t approach her at all just act as stranger. Yes there r 2 other girls that I have interest in. 1 girl I don’t know her at all (just have interest) another girl also from the same dept as me but she got bf already la.. so I didn’t take any action because I don’t want to disturb people relationship as I believe it will be bad karma to destroy another person romance just like I hope no one disturbed mine. I am quite old already i don’t know if i will have the chance again to form my family. But one thing I notice about myself that always result in relationship failure is i always show temper when thing don’t go my way. I already try to change it. When this girl rejected me.. I only told her in office messenger that I respect her decision but wish to have minimal interaction with her so that I will feel better. Does it reflect badly that I am angry about the whole thing?
In my life... I have 3 encounters where the girls accept my dates but always put off by me when I show displeasure or anger at them. I try very hard to change and adopt a more positive attitude.. she did approached me twice on work purposes and I do talk and help her out. I just hope it can display my generosity and I understand by showing my temper around will not help but only to make thing worse
