Guys I just built a new one but the com will not start up. Everything is plugged correctly and when I start up, the fan just spun for a split second, LED light up once. Then nth else happens. No display and cpu fan isn't running.

What might be the problem here?

The last time when it happened to my diy pc is the mobo firmware not support the cpu. Bring back to the shop that you bought the mobo and ask the to flash the firmware.

Look like somewhere short-circuited, PSU shutdown to prevent damage. You use the casing spacers to install the motherboard?

I'm not an expert on this but i diy my first computer about a month ago and it started up for less than 5 sec and shut down again.

It turns out to be 1 of the faulty ram. if you bought a dual channel ram kit you might want to test it by installing 1 ram at a time see if its the ram issue. Reason why i say this is because the problem you encounter is pretty similar to mine.

Highly possible a PSU issue. I just did a diagnostic for a friend last month. 1 year old Seasonic 80+ bronze PSU was the problem.

Fans spin up for split second and powered off was the exact symptom.

Not sure if TS case, the PSU is brand new or recycle from old rig.
