hi guys, i've been researching up on getting a new gaming pc the last week and i've come up with this build from what i've read online, and help from some users from this forum :D (Alternative X) thanks

CPU+ Mobo: ASUS H97-PRO GAMER + i5 4590 (459)
RAM: G.SKILL RIPJAWS-X 1600MHZ ( 4GBx2pcs ) CL9 (115)
GPU: MSI GTX 970 4GB +
PSU: SEASONIC M12II 620 (659 for both)
SSD: CRUCIAL MX100 256GB (160)
HDD: WD 1TB BLUE (72)
DVD-RW: LG 24X DVD-RW SATA OEM (25)
Case: ? any recommendations pls feel free
OS: WINDOWS 7 HOME PREM (120)
PC Cooler: should i get? i know not needed but would like feedback, willing to spend if needed

Total would be 1610 not including the case/cooler
chose asus h97 and i5 4590 as its just 19 dollars more then the i5 4460 and alot of good reviews on asus motherboard being reliable etc etc. also considered gigabyte for the mobo.
chose the msi 970 gtx + seasonic deal as it seems quite good, or would it be better to get msi + sunflower 600w individually instead? doesnt make sense as will be more ex thou. :s22:
thats about it would like any feedback on my build and recommendations for the case/cooler.
will be using the pc to for gaming like borderlands, wow, evolve etc and also to play some poker and will be using some poker huds and apps etc.

thanks in advance for any help! will be making purchase tomorrow hopefuly

All motherboard these days are reliable. I rather get a cheap Asrock mobo than spending extra on asus for their premium. I've use Biostar, Asus, MSI and Asrock mobo and none of them have failed me.

You will only see less than 0.5% gaming performance difference for that extra $19. In the end, it is still up to you.

How much are you willing to pay for the case?

You don't need a cooler as stock cooler is adequate, it is just noisy and hard to clean when it become dusty.

Do note that the Seasonic M12II is a 80+ Bronze PSU while the Superflower HX 600 is a 80+ Gold PSU. See if you mind having a lower efficiency PSU or not, both PSUs are good quality PSUs.

why not buy msi gaming gtx970 on lazada monday @ $529
+ superflower hx600 $99(pc themes)

alternatively, zotac gtx970 + sf hx600 + GV movie tickets x2 = $547
(pc themes offer)

I'll still go with an aftermarket coolers like the CM Evo because no one should use the stock cooler :s13:

All the mobo brands are fine. It really depends on the feature you need, like SATA ports, SLI-ready and stuff.

I'm not saying that everyone's like me (needs 5/6 sata ports etc), but these are important factors when it comes to choosing a board.

I'll go with the bronze one because under single GPU load for 600w PSU, we are barely hitting 60% load.
