Motherboard: Asrock H81M-HDS
CPU: Intel i5-4460
SSD: Plextor M6S 128GB
HDD: Western Digital 1TB blue 3.5"
Casing: Coolermaster N200
GPU: Powercolor R9 280 Turboduo OC
Memory: Crucial 8GB 1600Mhz
DVD Writer: LG
PSU: Superflower HX600
OS: Windows 8.1 64 bit

I will be using the computer to play latest games like Watch Dogs at medium-high settings and downloading torrents and files from the internet so I require the download speed to be quick. Is this okay. My budget is 1K-1.1k and I do not wish to overclock with this rig.

I have a few questions:

1) Can I use an oc gpu in a non-oc rig?

2) Are there other casings that are similar in price as the CM N200 that can fit all the specifications above with better cable management and airflow cause i read reviews saying that the CM N200 bad cable management and airflow. Is this so?

Thank you for your reply. But among the powercolor R9 280, Zotac GTX750Ti and the Zotac GTX760, which one should I get to suit my needs?

I did a bit of research and found that the R9 280 consumes a lot of power compared to both the GTX models and I am worried about the power consumption and the bills XD

Will it always be using maximum power all the time or only when I am playing graphic-intensive games?

No brainer to go for 280 @ that mid tier range

It's fine really, the most maybe 10-15 bucks more a year :s22:

The R9 280 will still be more suitable for your needs. The GTX 750Ti would be able to play Watchdogs at low-medium at best.

Besides, the full power consumption of the R9 280 will only apply when playing graphic intensive games which causes the GPU to work at full load, idle power consumption is quite OK.
